Democrat Barack Obama will be the 44th U.S. President, CNN projects. "The American people have spoken," rival John McCain told supporters.

History was made tonight, and no matter your political views, this is a milestone for this country.

I have never felt so inspired and hopeful in my entire life.

Today is a pivotal point in American history. Tonight is the night that we begin to repair, look forward, heal division, and move towards the change our country so desperately needs.

I honestly can't believe it's taken so long for us to have a black president. My children are going to be mixed, and it feels so good to be able to show them that anything is possible. They can have dreams, they can be anything they want to be if they work hard enough, and stay true to who they are. That is an amazing feeling. So much is going to be happening in the next 4 years.  It's scary to think that if I go through with this, I might actually have a 4 year old of my own. That I still do have that choice, and that this country seems to be going in a better direction, if I do decide this is the best thing for me, when that time comes, things will be better for my child...and everyone.

This isn't just a black or white issue either. Barack Obama has proven that he will be an amazing president to everyone.

Regardless of who you voted for, or what party you belong to, we're all in this together, so here is to the next 4 years. I wish Barack and his gorgeous family all the luck and happiness in the world.

Thank you America, for finally getting it right.

I'm so tired. This made no sense, but when I wake up in the morning, I know it is going to be the start of something amazing - a new America, and I feel so lucky to have been able to vote and be a part of it.

Ok, it's been awhile. I suck, but I'm back... for now. :)

Some things might be a little jacked up for now, but that's ok, I'll eventually get to them. I have a lot of plans for my site. I'm also working on my little side hustle with my girl, Holly, and that has been keeping me pretty busy. Look for that coming soon. We're really excited about it. :)

I have news, and it's pretty big, but I don't know what I'm going to do yet, and it's a little too early to talk about it. It's hell, keeping it to myself, but hopefully it won't be too much longer. I'll probably even do a private blog post, viewable to members only, so look at the bottom of my blog, and sign up! You know you want to be nosy. ;) I'M GOING CRAZY KEEPING IT TO MYSELF. UGH. :(

October 29th was my 25th birthday. I'm officially half of 50. HOLY CRAP. That seems so old. It was my boyfriend's birthday on the 29th too. I hate that he's in Illinois. I didn't get to see him. :(

Oh, and if you read my blog before, you might remember my car ~drama~. My mechanic stole my car after I paid him. WELL, I have court on December 2nd, so hopefully that will have a good outcome, and I can get my car back from that crackhead, or at least money.

Who knows!

...but I'm so tired, and this totally doesn't make sense, sorry.

Some of these Wordpress Plugins are a pain in the ass, but the site is coming along. The theme I'm using has different styles you can download, and I was going to edit one to be a little more Lindsey-ish, but I'm kind of liking the simpleness of the white for awhile. I should be done with the main stuff by Monday, so we shall see! My main problem with layouts is that I get them looking a little tacky, so I mught just stick with this for awhile.

I've been busy with the car shit, too. Yesterday I took the papers to the courthouse, and they told me Jean [the guy who stole my car...] should be served the papers sometime today, so the process is stated, and I couldn't be more excited. This thing has been a disaster. Ideal I would love to get the car back, but I heard he scrapped it, so I'm suing him for the maximum I can sue him for in small claims in the state of Iowa, which is $5,000. Not enough. My car is worth that alone, plus there is the money I gave him for the transmission, and my CD player in my car. I just want this to be all over with. UGH!

I've also been busy trying to find a job. It just seems like people aren't hiring in Dubuque! I've looked everywhere. Oh well. I've only technically been looking for 2 weeks, so I might find something. Whatever I find, I'm not going to stay at too long, because I'm still planning on moving with Elmo...probably...maybe...?

Man, I don't even know what's going on! haha
